Our key sustainability activties

With the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), the United Nations has adopted the political framework for action until 2030. The 17 SDGs form the basis for global, economic progress in harmony with social justice and within the earth's ecological limits.

No matter what we do at KTR: With our entrepreneurship, we always touch the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. KTR's sustainability strategy is aligned along these goals; it forms the basis for our actions and long-term corporate success by taking responsibility for our environment, our employees, our supply chains and our products.

Our commitment to transparency: Sustainability report 2023

Transparency is the key to responsible behaviour. With our sustainability report, we disclose how we systematically integrate sustainability into our company. We report on the steps we have already taken and those we plan to take in order to integrate ecological, economic and social sustainability into our business processes.

In preparation for CSRD-compliant reporting, we have chosen the German Sustainability Code (DNK) for our first sustainability report. Our sustainability declaration can therefore be found in the DNK database at any time.

Commitment to achieve CO2 reduction targets: Science Based Targets

Climate protection is one of our key challenges. By joining the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), we are committing to defining targets that will help limit the global temperature rise to 1.5° C.

Over the next two years, we will set specific, science-based targets to reduce our CO₂ emissions in order to make our contribution to achieving the Paris Climate Agreement. This commitment underlines our aim to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions in line with the Paris Agreement and thus make an active contribution to combating climate change.

Once the targets have been set, they are reviewed and validated by SBTi.
